There's an opening for an art show tonight that my good friend and painters Fiona Ackerman, and Zoe Pawlak are putting on at On The Rise Artist Collective titled 'Clearly Seen'. It's a show combining both abstract paintings from both artists and a couple of figurative ones by Zoe. It looks like it's going to be a really exciting show, with both artists collaborating on a painting- live on the side walk outside the gallery over the week! They will be having a silent auction for this painting with proceeds going to Haiti relief efforts! I'm hoping I can make it- the opening is from 5pm-9pm at 2231 S. Granville St. in Vancouver.

Artsy! Dartsy! and ONTRAC Show!

Yesterday was installation day for the inaugural show for the new On The Rise Artist Collective on South Granville! I was really excited to meet the other 2 artists exhibiting with me. The show was curated by the founder of the Collective, Merete Kristiansen, and she specifically chose 3 women painters from really different backgrounds and themes. To read more, check out this cool site called Artsy Dartsy- Vancouver's new art and design guide that up-dates weekly art happenings in this great city of ours! I've now plastered my work all over the site and you can find me on the plug for the On The Rise Show, on their community page, and on their etsy links!
Show details are as follows: Opening Night for ONTRAC is Thursday, March 5th, 5pm-8pm, 2231 Granville Street (South Granville area, between 6th and 7th)! Hope to see you there!

ON TRAC Artist Collective on South Granville!
I just received word that my submission for the brand new artist collective, ON TRAC (ON The Rise Artist Collective) on South Granville street has been accepted! Our inaugural exhibition will be on March 5th and it looks like I'll be part of the line-up for this new venture! The gallery space, in the premium location of South Granville (right by Heffel Fine Arts), has been leased out to the collective at an amazingly low cost for the area. This is what makes this collective opportunity so unique and great to be a part of: the cost for the artists involved are really minimal and all sales of work go 100% to the artists. I'll keep you posted with show dates!
