OK so this isn't my new 'lap-top' - I'm not that old-school, but I am making a conscious decision to steer clear of Twitter, along with keeping a pretty low-profile on Facebook, these days. I'm not sure what's driving my resistance to these social networking phenomenons. Sometimes I feel like it's a waste of time and that it really limits one's ability to focus on what's important. I've also never been into the popularity contest both sites seem to require. Opinions aside, I read Keri Smith's blog (scroll down to her August 5 post called 'techno rant...') and it really resonated with me. Do give it a read and maybe, just maybe, you'll have a few more reasons to leave the cell at home every now and again!

Keepin' it old school
